Repayments are Rs. 20,000 a month, spread over 50 months, with no interest. Combined with the low running cost of an electric three-wheeler (about Rs. 12,000 of electricity for around 5,500 km a month), the instalment can be covered by what a driver no longer spends on petrol.
Who can apply: the applicant must be from a low-income family and must be a three-wheeler driver.
